David “Dake” Banks, 59, of Tiptonville, Tenn., formerly of Rosedale, died on Friday, January 10, 2014, at Alive Hospice in Nashville, Tenn.

Visitation will be held Saturday, January 18, 2014, at Saint John No. 3 Missionary Baptist Church located at 908 Lake St. in Tiptonville, Tenn., from noon until time of service.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, January 18, 2014, at Saint John No. 3 Missionary Baptist Church in Tiptonville, with Pastor Marvin Mays officiating.

Interment will follow in Citizen Cemetery under the direction of H.H. Hudson Funeral Home of Dyersburg, Tenn.

A memorial service will be held at Lively Stone Church, 1006 Dr. Martin Luther King Dr., Rosedale, Friday, January 17, 2014, at 6 p.m.

He is survived by his wife years, Sharon Banks of Tiptonville, Tenn.; daughters Kimberly Trotter (Emmett) of Cleveland and Daryeal Evans (Fred) of Rosedale; and stepson, Dylan Roberson of Tiptonville,Tenn.; seven grandchildren, Emory Manly, Keylan Manly and Karlei Manly, all of Cleveland, Jeremy Robb, Jasmine Robb and Brianna Evans, all of Rosedale, and Jeremiah Roberson of Nashville, Tenn.; great-grandchild Ayana Robb of Memphis Tenn.; brothers, Percy Shaw of Detroit, Mich., Leo Banks of Detroit, Mich., Robert Banks (Mary) of Dyersburg, Tenn., Johnnie Banks (Gayle) of Chicago, Ill., Walter Banks (Charlotte)  of Dyersburg, Tenn., and Scott Banks of Chicago, Ill.; sisters Mazzee Williams (Paul) of Rosedale, Evelyn Horsley of Rosedale, Maggie Williams of Chicago, Ill., Tommie Edwards (Ozell) of Chicago, Ill., and Mammie Banks of Rosedale; and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends that he loved deeply.

He was preceded in death by his mother Maggie Banks, father Cleo Banks, and sister Pearlie James of Rosedale, MS and brother Willie Shaw, of Detroit, Mich.
