Customer service transforms to C Spire

A customer driven company is rare in today’s merchandising market.

However that is exactly what has prompted Cellular South to change its name and sharpen its vision for the future.

Hu Meena, Cellular South president and CEO, announced Thursday in a media teleconference, that based on the quickly changing multi-media and wireless world, the company would be changing its name and customer strategy.

“C Spire Wireless will officially launch operations on Monday, Sept. 26, as the nation’s first and only wireless provider to introduce personalized wireless services,” announced Meena.

He explained the new name was created because Cellular South has always been a “customer inspired company” and C Spire embodies the future of the company.

“By recognizing that customers are individuals with their own interests and wireless needs, the company, formerly Cellular South, will offer unique and game-changing products and services that adapt to customers, understand who they are and are designed just for them,” he said.

“We have entered a new era in wireless – an era centered on broadband networks, mobile computing devices and now personalized services. Completing calls is only a small part of what we deliver our customers,” said Meena.

“Since 1988, our main focus has been on providing exceptional service for our customers and their wireless needs. Those needs have changed dramatically and will do so at an even more rapid pace in the future. Meena said on Monday, customers will see a new look in stores and on its Web site. However there will be no change in fees to current customers.

Customers will see unique personalization in apps and content that fits who they are, services that anticipate their needs, and rewards they’ll get just for using their phone in new ways.

“C Spire’s industry-leading personalization capabilities are powered by Pulse, a proprietary system that enables the company to understand and develop a closer relationship with its customers,” said Meena. “In turn, C Spire recommends and provides the right selection of technology experiences tailored for each customer – giving them unmatched wireless personalization.”

Meena explained that this personlization is completely voluntary and customer driven. “The system uses only the information the customer chooses to provide.”
