Carrie Mae Haywood, 86, of Cleveland died on Monday October 28, 2013, at Delta Regional Medical Center in Greenville.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, November 2, 2013, at New St. James M.B. Church in Cleveland, officiated by Rev. Jerry Jackson.

Mrs. Haywood was born on July 30, 1927, to the late Carrie Jones and James Harris, who preceded her in death in Belen, Miss.

She was raised by Mom Babe, who also preceded her in death.

She met and married Mr. Archie Sullivan and to this union was born one son who preceded her in death. She later married Mr. Nathan Haywood, who also preceded her in death.

She was employed with the Bolivar County Head Start as a cook until her retirement.

She is survived by three god-daughters, Laverne Franklin of Shaw, Joann Pope and Janice Mayberry, both of Cleveland; two other special persons, Selone and LouDorothy Wolfe of Chicago; and many other loving and caring persons who took her under their wings and loved her so very much.
