Cable man robbed

On Thursday at approximately 4 p.m. the Bolivar County Sheriff’s Department received a call that a cable guy had been robbed at gunpoint.

According to a release from the sheriff’s department, the robbery took place at Sunset Village Apartment located at 900 White St., Cleveland.

When deputies arrived on the scene, the cable service man said he was on the rear of building 5 running some cable wire.

He said that two black males approached him with a handgun and demanded money.

The two male subjects walked him to his service vehicle and took his bank card and cellular phone.

One subject was wearing a red jacket with grey hoodie approximately 5 ft. 8 in. and the other subject was wearing a long black jacket with a grey skullcap approximately 6 ft.

Both subjects fled on foot.

No arrests have been made at this time.
