The Cleveland Bolivar County Young Professionals group is making its mark on Cleveland through kickball tournaments, Crawfish in the Alley, and now the group will be hosting a Halloween party.

The group operates under the umbrella of the Cleveland-Bolivar County Chamber of Commerce, using its own bylaws to generate it's own funds.

The party will be at 8 p.m. Friday at the Cleveland Country Club and the public is invited.

CBYP members get in free and non-members get in for $5.

There will be a costume contest, light appetizers and a cash bar.

“We are looking forward to our Halloween party Friday evening,” said Suzette Matthews, president of CBYP.

“CBYP not only provides opportunities for professional networking but we also provide a space for everyone to get together and socialize.”

Entertainment will be provided by DJ Saxy. CBYP T-shirts and membership applications will be available; T-shirts are $10 and yearly dues are $40 a person or $65 a couple.

“I’d like to encourage everyone, members and nonmembers, to attend the CBYP Halloween party,” said Jordan Thomas, secretary of CBYP.

“CBYP is a great way to get involved in the community and meet new people.”

The mission of Cleveland-Bolivar County Young Professionals is to increase the quality of life of its members and the Cleveland community by providing opportunities for community service, professional development, social interaction, and relationship building for young professionals living and working in Cleveland and Bolivar County.
