Waldrop, 24, was reported missing June 17 and was last seen driving a silver 2008 Chevrolet 1500 truck, with an extended cab.
According to Cleveland Police Chief Buster Bingham, “Waldrop has been sent to the Mississippi Crime Lab for autopsy.”
He said the site where Waldrop was found is being processed but “no further details are being released at this time.”
Also involved with the search and investigation were the Bolivar County Sheriff’s Department, Mississippi Bureau of Investigations and the Federal Bureau of Investigations.
After Waldrop was found a social media donation site was created to help his family raise money for funeral cost.
The goal was for $15,000 and as of today, that amount has been exceeded.
Mary Panni, who created the site, posted, “God bless each and every one of you. The family asks for your continued prayers and support during this difficult time.”
