Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, November 17, 2012, at Mount Arria Church in Indianola with Rev. Clifford D. Wilson officiating. Burial will follow in Spring Hill Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 2-6 p.m. Friday, November 16, 2012, at Byas Funeral Home in Indianola.
Survivors include his wife, Johnnie M. Roberts of Shaw; daughter, Rhonda Hawthorn in Pensacola, Fla.; sons, James A. Roberts of Gary, Ind., and Albert H. Roberts Jr. Olympia, Wash.; brothers, Chris Roberts of Shaw, Ollie Roberts of Indianapolis, Ind., and Charles Roberts of Gary, Ind.; sister, Blanch Harper of Los Angeles, Calif.; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and a host of relatives and friends.
